“1-2-3” – pantomime theatre by Pino Poggi

This AU Theater, written by Pino Poggi in 1976, seemed to be the piece to perform, when asked to cooperate in the preparations of the celebrations of Pino Poggis 70th anniversary. During this period the just newly founded association raum AU was working on an anniversary publication, Contrada Priore, we would finish in early 2010, therefore the whole focus of the members at that time were concrete projects around the AU estate of Pino Poggi.

This mute theatre, this pantomime performance, written decades before its premiere, is as most Arte Utile, an invitation to acknowledge ones position in society, ones obligations as part of a neighborhood and makes it only too much notable that every and each one of us apparently oversees something. The abundant public applauded vividly, after the 10-minute piece, but remained in collective reflective silence for some time. Thinking obviously about the just seen.

As association, this project was another project towards the integration of an independent entity in cultural matters of the town. The cooperation was already the third in a row, the first one directly perceivable, as the first two cooperation’s were concerned about publications. This should become a milestone in this city, as it meant the entry of independent cultural workers into the public domain of professional cultural work, the KGLU.
